Jim is certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Florida International University in Miami. He completed a two year residency in both Orthotics and Prosthetics at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital in Massachusetts where he in serviced physician residents from Tufts Medical School.
His prosthetic training covers the use of ischial containment sockets, silicone suction sockets, microprocessor knees, energy storing feet and upper extremity myo-electrics. Orthotically, he is trained in fracture management of the spine and extremities. Other orthotic training includes bracing for CVA, scoliosis, and other neurological disorders. As a third generation practitioner, he has over twenty years experience.
He is a member of the Amputee Coalition of America, American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics, and American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association. Jim also provides continued follow up care to make sure you have been provided with a high performance artificial limb or a custom brace that you are comfortable with and can wear with confidence, always.
